Catalan Defence Committee Scotland are organising a demonstration on Saturday (October 26) against Spanish state repression and to demand the release of the political leaders sentenced on Monday.
UNISON has been at the forefront of the trade union movement in Scotland in condemning the actions of the Spanish state/police and calling for recognition of the right to self-determination for Catalans (as well as Kurds, Palestinians and other oppressed minorities). This protest is to demand the release of ALL political prisoners and to defend democratic rights.
