Gordon McKay elected union’s senior vice president

Gordon McKay, chair of Ayrshire and Arran Health Branch, has been elected as UNISON’s senior vice president – the first Scottish rep to hold the post for seven years.

Gordon was elected to the UK Health National Executive seat this year after serving since 2009 as one of Scotland’s five elected NEC members.

Gordon has worked in the NHS for over thirty years as a Mental Health Nurse. He is married with two children.

Gordon is known for his powerful; commitment to the Labour and trade union movement and his passionate, funny and often barnstorming speeches are always well received and health and national conferences.
