Scottish Health Committee chair, Wilma Brown, has written to express solidarity with UNISON members in Northern Ireland who are on strike over NHS pay.
Wilma Brown said: “We are extremely disappointed that despite progress being made in England and Wales, the Northern Ireland Office is yet to commit to meet with health unions to resolve pay.
It is unacceptable that our members in Northern Ireland are left out as politicians of all persuasions hide behind their failure to constitute a functional government.
Hard working NHS staff in Northern Ireland should not be used as pawns in political games and you have our complete and total support in your justified action!”
