The results of the 2017-2019 UNISON National Executive elections have been announced today. The successful candidates will take up their posts at the close of the union’s national conference in June and will hold office till the end of the 2019 conference..
The successful candidates in Scotland were:
General seat: Stephen Smellie (South Lanarkshire Branch)
Female seats: Kate Ramsden (Aberdeenshire), Davena Rankin (Glasgow Caledonian University)
Male seat: Jim McFarlane (Dundee City)
Reserved seat: Maggie Cook (Falkirk) elected unopposed
In addition, Scotland’s Gordon McKay (Ayrshire and Arran Health) was elected to the UK-wide Healthcare male seat.
