At a time of debate about the new National Care Service which the government proposes should include Justice Services, this is a timely look at themes and possibilities for ensuring that the social work values of social justice and community remain at the heart of our work.
Speakers include: Professor Fergus McNeill from Glasgow University – a prominent academic, writer and expert in the Justice Social Work field; Laraine Greenan – a UNISON activist in Ayrshire and a Justice SW; Jackie Hamilton – a senior manager and experienced Justice practitioner, also from Ayrshire. Each will speak for ten minutes, leaving time for questions and discussion from other participants.
