The Scottish Government is currently consulting on hate crime legislation.
Across the STUC’s equality structures trade union members have raised concerns about hate crime and highlighted examples of how hate crime has affected them in their lives or at work. It is clear from these discussions and debates that hate crime is a workplace issue.
As such, the STUC is seeking your views on what hate crime should include, your experiences of how hate crime can happen in the workplace and how it is dealt with by employers in order to inform a response to the Scottish Government consultation which closes on 23rd November.
