Fifteen women will be representing UNISON at the 92nd Annual STUC Women’s Conference #stucwomen19 on 28 and 29 October in the Concert Hall in Perth.
The theme of this year’s conference is “Fighting to eradicate child poverty” and delegates will debate a number of motions calling for decisive action to end the disgrace of almost one in four Scottish children who are growing up poor.
Other key debates include supporting menopausal women, period dignity, pregnancy and parenting, abortion rights and tackling sexual harassment. UNISON’s motions focus on workplace support for mothers with premature and sick babies and re-inspiring women, finding ways to promote and recognise women who inspire others.
