The Scottish government and COSLA launched a Local Governance Review in December 2017. This is a review of all public services. The original briefing is available here
The next stage of the review will be a set of meetings across Scotland. Citizens are invited to share their views on public service reform. UNISON is encouraging branches to attend these events to ensure that the voices of those who deliver and use public services can be heard. The meetings take place at the end of November. This briefing gives more detail on the review. The Democracy Matters paper gives details on the events and how to book a place.
UNISON will organise a follow up meeting for those who attended to support the development of UNISON’s response to the ongoing review.
