Charter of demands to end the crisis in Social Work

24 October 2024 Susan Galloway

thumbnail of Charter Demands-for-social-work-crisis-24-10-24This Charter of Demands was launched at UNISON’s Social Work Conference on 24 October 2024. Developed by social work members it sets out what is needed to end the crisis in social work.

Social Work staff across Scotland face unprecedented pressure. Workloads are higher, vacancies stay unfilled, and budgets get cut. The Scottish Government proposes a National Social Work Agency, but we need action now. From employers, from CoSLA and from the Government.

The Charter demands better support for social workers and all other staff working in social work services.
