On 18 June, in London, let’s tell this government: we DEMAND better.
UNISON Scotland is urging branches to attend TUC We Demand Better rally and march in London. Christina McAnea explains why your branch should be there as part of a sea of green and purple demanding better.
Details for UNISON Scotland Branches
- The STUC along with the Poverty Alliance are organising a cost of living crisis conference on Friday 17th June at the Renfield Centre, 260 Bath Street, Glasgow G2 4JP from 10.00 am until 4.00pm, more info and registration details in the link. Please encourage activists, members and community groups to attend. I would ask branches to give consideration to sending people to this and accommodating them overnight in Glasgow in order to catch train early the following morning;
- There are loads of resources available to help with emails to members encouraging them to come to demo. I paste the info on this below. Please email members and social media to encourage them to sign up for the train via your branch and then get details to Joan and me.
Thanks again for your vital support in mobilising for our demo!
It’s time for a new deal for working people. We need help with energy bills and a real pay rise for every worker.
Let’s take matters into our own hands – and get out on the streets.
