During the week of 12 May 2021, UNISON will be celebrating the work that nurses, midwives and nursing associates do every day to help the people of the UK. The COVID-19 pandemic has shown more than ever before the brilliance of our nursing family. Nurses have shown leadership at all levels of our health and care services to meet the extraordinary demands of the pandemic. Nurses and midwives make a very real and vital contribution to the health of our nation and we want to celebrate that.
The theme for International Nurses’ Day this year is ‘A voice to lead – a vision for future healthcare’.
