Next in our series of Radical Social Work Webinars will be held on Wednesday 15th March during lunch time, 1-2pm, via Teams.
This event, organised by UNISON Scotland’s Social Work Issues Group, will focus on The Promise and take a look at where we are now. The Promise was generally welcomed as a focus and means to improve the situation of Scotland’s most vulnerable children and young people – those looked after outside the homes of birth parents.
However, with ever reducing budgets for public services, were the resources ever going to be made available to make this a reality or was it just another example of spin and slogans to make it seem as if change is coming?
