UNISON are delighted to support the inaugural Celtic Connections in the Community in 2020 with BEMIS (the national umbrella body supporting the development of the Ethnic Minorities Voluntary Sector in Scotland.)
Five events will make up Celtic Connections in the Community, including a workshop opportunity with festival artists who will then perform with workshop participants at the ‘BEMIS presents Les Amazonas D’Afrique & special guests’ show on Saturday the 25th of January.
Celtic Connections in the Community events will enable local and diverse Glasgow communities to showcase the best of Scotland’s contemporary cultural traditions and work with professional artists to bring a special collaborative performance to Glasgow’s world-renowned music festival.
Keep up to date on the BEMIS website, and watch social media for announcements of groups who have been successfully funded to lead these local events.
If you want to apply, please fill out our application form and return via email to BEMIS. For more information on the application and selection process, download our guidelines.
Deadline for applications is Friday 25th October 2019 at midnight (24:00)
The Celtic Connections in the Community events and finale showcase with Les Amazonas D’Afrique is a partnership between BEMIS and Celtic Connections supported by the Scottish Government and UNISON.
