Reports from Gaza have shocked people all over the world and UNISON is one of many organisations who have called for an immediate ceasefire.
Amongst the terrible events in Gaza, Social Workers have also been victims. Many have lost their lives. Many have saw children and vulnerable adults they have worked with being traumatised, maimed, and killed.
UNISON’s Social Work activists are speaking up for their fellow social workers in Gaza, and in the West Bank. We know they will continue to offer support to their service users, to the orphaned children, to the disabled adults who will have lost their carers. They deserve our support and solidarity.
Our Social Work Issues Group agreed a statement of solidarity with Palestinian social workers.
