UNISON Scotland has published its manifesto for the Scottish Parliament elections ‘Public Services and the Good Society’. You can download a copy here.
The manifesto explains why public services are so important to our communities and the economy. It includes ten ways to strengthen Scotland’s public services, economy and society.
We have also published the first three of our Minifestos on Policing, Early Years/Childcare and Sustainability. Influencers working in these areas will find plenty of resources for conversations and questions for candidates. You will find these on our election page along with other resources.
Our election opinion poll commissioned from Survation shows public services are voters top priority and also supports a number of other UNISON policy positions. You can find a summary at our Public Works blog along with infographics that can be used in local publications and on social media.
Finally, we want to encourage members to ask the candidates relevant questions. It’s a good way to focus politicians on our member’s concerns. We will be publishing suggested questions on our social media accounts and on the elections page. So it would be helpful if you could Tweet and Share them.
