Our response to the consultation joins other organisations in endorsing the response from the Campaign for Freedom of Information in Scotland. We are strongly opposed to a ‘two-tier’ approach to the supply of information depending on the type of body asked. Therefore, the Scottish Government should not extend the time allowed for responding to FOI requests and requests for review for grant-aided and independent special schools from 20 to 60 days on each occasion. We also are concerned there will be a disproportionate impact on the rights of disabled children and their families.
